Our commitment to the environment and nature preservation
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Our traditional production practices are naturally sustainable, working in harmony with nature's cycles.
We exclusively use the sun's energy to evaporate seawater and form salt crystals, without consuming fossil fuels.
Our process uses only pure seawater, without adding chemicals or additives, preserving the product's natural quality.
The salt flats are part of a protected natural reserve, home to various species of birds such as the white-backed stilt (Himantopus melanurus), little blue heron (Egretta caerulea), great egret, sanderling (Calidris alba), and whimbrel (Numenius hudsonicus).
We fully utilize our production, and by-products are used responsibly, without generating waste.
The salt flats create a unique ecosystem that harbors rich biodiversity. The variation in salinity across different ponds provides habitats for various species of microorganisms, crustaceans, and birds.
During migration months, our salt flats become a crucial stopover point for birds such as the white-backed stilt (Himantopus melanurus), little blue heron (Egretta caerulea), great egret, sanderling (Calidris alba), and whimbrel (Numenius hudsonicus), among other protected species.
We work closely with environmental organizations to monitor and protect the salt flats ecosystem. Our traditional production practices are recognized as fundamental to maintaining this unique environment.
Our tours include educational components about the importance of salt flats to the local ecosystem. We believe that awareness is fundamental to environmental preservation.
